Dear colleagues,
Thank you to everyone who completed the 2023 People Matter Employee Survey. Participating is a powerful way to help foster a great culture and environment to work in. I was happy to see a small increase in the number of overall participants across the NSW Health System.
NSW Health results
NSW Health achieved a one per cent increase in employee engagement, taking our overall system-wide score to 63 per cent, while the survey identified both areas where we are performing well and where there is room for improvement.
I look forward to going through all the results in more detail to understand and consider what people have said, what’s working well, and where we need to focus to make NSW Health an even better place to work.
Looking ahead
Over coming weeks, senior leaders will share more detailed results with their teams. After taking time to reflect on the results, it will then be time to move into action planning.
This is an important step and gives people the opportunity to act on the survey results. Everyone is empowered to collaborate on initiatives in their workplace – from agreeing the priority focus areas, to taking steps to address survey feedback and create positive changes over the next year.
