Boosting rural healthcare for kids with complex medical needs
Around 45% of Australian children aged 0-14 have a chronic health condition that affects their quality of life. The RuralKidsGPS project was developed to address specific challenges for children in rural and remote regions as they often experience fragmented care, which can lead to higher costs and poorer health outcomes. The pilot received funding from the Office for Health and Medical Research and was named as a finalist in the NSW Health Awards 2024. |
