RNA Research and Training Network launched
Last month, the Office of the Chief Scientist and Engineer strengthened the State’s healthcare and biotechnology capabilities with the launch of the $17.6 million NSW RNA Research and Training Network (NSW-RRTN). The NSW-RRTN builds on the success of the NSW RNA Production and Research Network, established in 2021 with $4.9 million in NSW Health funding. |

Expressions of interest now open for NAT-Net Competitive Grant
Expressions of interest for the Non-Animal Technologies Network Research Pillar Competitive Grant Scheme are now open! This grant is made possible by funding from NSW Health and supports collaborative, NSW-led research projects that drive groundbreaking discoveries and innovations in non-animal technologies - such as advanced in vitro models, computational methods, and biochemical assays - to improve medical research and reduce reliance on animal use. Up to three grants of $200,000 available.

Applications for the RNA Pipeline Grants are now open
The RNA Pipeline Grants aim to foster the growth of a state-based RNA ecosystem by supporting companies developing innovative RNA therapeutics, vaccines and related technologies to progress toward commercialisation and manufacturing. The $6 million program is part of the NSW Government's RNA R&D Initiatives, administered by the Office of the Chief Scientist and Engineer. |

Nominations open for the Elite Researcher Grants
Expressions of interest are now open for host organisations to nominate researchers for the NSW Health Elite Researcher Grants. The program provides funding to support elite researchers living and working overseas to relocate to NSW for the duration of the grant. By attracting world-class talent, this program helps NSW Health to build a strong, highly skilled research workforce and bridge the gap between research, policy and practice. |
